DJ Graffiti and Martin Smith are one in the same. A multifaceted individual, perfectly comfortable being called by his stage name or government name, Martin is equally well suited as a nightclub DJ or as a corporate marketing executive. Since he began DJing professionally in 1997, DJ Graffiti aka The Mangler, has become an icon of Michigan’s music community by rocking the dancefloor, heating up concert audiences, spinning live shows for Detroit emcee Phat Kat, and creating mixtapes with an uncompromising level of quality. Praised for his ability to play the right music at the right time, these days Graffiti is most often found at corporate and exclusive private events playing genre defying DJ sets that unite even the widest spectrum of audiences. In addition to DJing in the US and abroad, Martin is also an experienced producer, manager of French producer Astronote, an occasional emcee, photo-journalist, and an alumnus of both the University of Michigan Business and Law Schools.
Martin’s passion for developing innovative marketing techniques lends itself to every aspect of his career. A desire to give people not only what they want, but also what they need, has helped Martin cohesively bind the music and business aspects of his ventures. Martin’s marketing company Rapture Enterprises LLC has operated full time since 2001, managing campaigns for small, medium and Fortune 500 businesses. In 2007, Martin co-founded A-Side Worldwide, a marketing, management and design firm. With Martin aka DJ Graffiti as VP of Marketing, A-Side has championed a New Model that is poised to change the face of marketing in the years to come. In 2009 Martin co-founded Snapfuze, an innovative Photobooth and DJ Services company. With accomplishments like these, you can see why Martin's motto is, "Sleep is Overrated".
